Here are lifestyle habits that may be damaging your skin:
1) Touching your skin
If you're fond of rubbing your face, touching your skin regularly or leaning on your hands, then you have to stop it right now. This can transfer germs to your face and make it spread, leading to breakouts and wrinkles.
2) Not cleaning up after exercising
Not showering after working out can cause some breakouts on your skin. Some make sure you shower, or at least clean off the sweat with a cleanser, toner, and a cotton ball once you're done exercising.
3) Sleeping with makeup on
When you don't wash your makeup off at night, you are letting it simmer for way longer than it normally should. This can cause a break down of collagen and also fine lines. So you have to cleanse your skin before you sleep, even when you're very tired.
4) Smoking
If you want a great skin, you have to quit smoking. The fumes of cigarette contains carbon monoxide. Carbon monoxide depletes oxygen in the skin. The fumes also contains nicotine, which can reduce blood flow, leaving skin scaly, patchy, dry, and discoloured.
5) Washing your skin with hot water
If you believe washing your face with hot water will cleanse your face better than with warm or cold water, then you are mistaken. Washing your face with very hot water and even bathing with it will only damage your skin because it gets rid of all the natural oils present. This leads to dry skin. Hydration is important for young and smooth skin.
If you are making these lifestyle mistakes, even if you buy the most expensive skincare products, you won't have great skin. Eat good food, drink enough water, get enough sleep, treat your skin right, and use good products.
